SUPPORTING PEOPLE THROUGH BRAIN SURGERY

Our vision is to create a network of brain buddies across the globe.

Connecting people who have undergone and/or who are considering having brain surgery, providing specialist information and care so that they feel more connected, more supported and more valued.

We believe that no-one should have to embark on this journey alone.

Brain Buddy was established in 2017 with the aim of providing a support and advice service for people who have been affected by neurological conditions and who are considering having brain surgery.

After the success of the first Brain Buddy talk in 2018, a collaboration was formed between Patients, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons and Neuropsychologists at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Brain Buddy has grown considerably and now also supports patients, families and friends post-surgery.

Brain Buddy currently run quarterly London-based talks and networking events, based in London that bring people together to share their experiences, providing access to a number of neurological professionals, specialist information, support and contact with others affected by similar conditions.

Brain Buddy has recently been awarded funding from The National Brain Appeal which means it can continue to provide much needed support and advise to individuals, families and friends pre and post surgery.
